A warm gathering of new mothers and babies in a sunlit Los Angeles home

The village LA forgot to give you

You just had a baby in a city of 4 million people. So why does it feel so lonely?

LA New Mamas is a free community of over 1,000 new and expecting moms across Los Angeles. A group chat that's alive at 3am, monthly meetups all over the city, and a founder who happens to be a postpartum therapist. Come as you are. Spit-up on your shirt is basically our dress code.

Is this normal?

If you've ever Googled “is this normal?” at 3am— you're home.

We asked 138 LA moms what they search in the middle of the night. Almost every answer had the same three words hiding inside it: is this normal.

Is it normal that I cry in the car? That I love my baby and miss my old life at the same time? That I haven't showered since Tuesday?

Yes, mama. You were never supposed to figure it out alone. Moms have always done this in villages. Modern LA forgot to give you one. So we built it.

Meet Olivia

Led by a postpartum therapist. Built by a mom.

Hi, I'm Olivia—therapist (LCSW), mom, and the founder of LA New Mamas. I started this community because I saw the same thing in my work and in my own life: LA is full of amazing new moms who feel alone at the exact moment they need people most.

Everything here is built around one belief: you don't need to be fixed. You need to be seen, supported, and occasionally handed an iced coffee while someone else holds the baby.
